Monthly Words of Encouragement, Personal Growth
Change is a part of life.
We can never know how exactly our lives will unfold. Sometimes we get showered with unexpected blessings and sometimes we find ourselves struggling with terrifying obstacles that life throws in our way.
Cultivating the right attitude to embrace both good and bad times in life is incredibly important.
What may appear as a dead end to someone, can seem like an opportunity for growth to someone else.
Everything in life comes down to your perspective.
Resilient people learn from their mistakes and choose growth.
They believe in their ability to create successful outcomes despite difficult circumstances. They don't dwell on the negative or engage in self-blame.
Positive thinking doesn't always come easily, especially when everything around you seems to be falling apart.
It's natural to feel scared by new challenges.
But no matter what happens, we always have a choice in what we are going to focus on.
It only takes a little spark to get a fire going!
Choose one positive thought per day.
Sit in silence and breathe deeply for a minute.
Write down three things you're grateful for.
These simple practices will help you to keep the fire burning inside you.
Developing resilience is a lifelong process.
Some situations lead to deep wounds that never seem to fully heal.
That type of pain may never go away. But you can still make space for peace and joy in your heart.
Practicing gratitude for the blessings you have in life can help you to overcome adversity and transcend suffering.
Never let the bad times get the best of you.
You do have the strength and courage to keep moving forward.
Commit to remaining calm and maintaining a positive outlook. With a calm mind, you are better able to cope with challenges.
And, as you overcome each obstacle, you improve your ability to harness your inner strength and adopt a better outlook, essentially creating a virtuous cycle.
Decide that you will allow nothing to defeat your spirit.
You can adapt well and achieve a greater sense of strength, regardless of the twists and turns you experience in your life.
You have the power to pick yourself up again.
It is possible to rebuild your life.
Keep your inner fire alive.

Thank you Patricia! 🙂
Thank you so much for all you do. Your communications are the best out of many out there, and I REALLY appreciate them and use them daily, and pass them on to friends. I cannot get over the synchronicity of them! It feels magical. But practical and do-able. I am a senior person who underwent childhood traumas. I have stage four cancer. I was diagnosed with it over six years ago! I absolutely practice self-care daily. Your messages help, and I rarely skip reading them. Some days I delve deeply, and other days not, depending on time, mood, need etc. Some days I just read the affirmations and choose one that easily resonates and write it down and refer to it that day. It ALWAYS helps me. Recently a friend lost his mother to cancer and I sent him a link. He thanked me and I am sure it helped. I often recommend you, and have trust that what you say can truly help, and is safe material. (There is much out there I would NOT recommend.) I rely on you, daily. I believe being as positive as possible really helps with our actual health, but we must be kind to ourselves and never blame ourselves for having cancer. Kindness is everything. At the very least, incorporating your positivity (and actions) makes us feel better. Your emails are the only ones I whole-heartedly recommend consistently. Some others are only about making money, and/or take advantage of fears and can make things worse. Over time I have found you to be reliable, consistent, uplifting, and safe. Thank you so very much!
Wow, thank you Alice, we are humbled by your response. 🙂 We're sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but it sounds like you are taking good care of yourself. We appreciate you sharing our content with your friends, and hopefully it does help them through some hard times. Your message is really inspiring to us and will be for many in our community as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us, we are so lucky to have you in our community. Keep taking care of yourself! 🙂
I sent you a lengthy comment which should probably be shortened. Also, I am not sure it is clear, but I was diagnosed not just with cancer 6+ years ago, but WITH stage 4 breast cancer right at the beginning. I know I inspire people with cancer because of it, and that they are afraid. I know I am very lucky. I walk a line carefully. People want my advice but if we take credit for healing, we also take blame. So I never do that. But hope is crucial. Finding how to be calm. Etc. Your emails are aligned with these, practically, emotionally…And part of my equation is good medical treatment and a wonderful oncologist, with compassion and expertise. You provide some hope and practical advice. I trust you to edit what I have said in these two emails. Sorry to write so much.
Don't ever be sorry about what you are writing! We are so happy to hear from people like you in our community. I like your thoughts on hope being crucial and finding your calm. I can't imagine what you are going through, but it sounds like you have a great attitude and are taking care of yourself, which is so important. Your messages will inspire so many people who are in a similar position. Great to hear from you and please keep taking good care of yourself 🙂
